Better known as BIG SPANISH, El Presidente, and the leader of The Heavy Hitters DJ crew at New York’s number one radio station, Hot 97.1 FM. 18 years ago today little did he know that he would become one of the greats, a legend, and overall an inspiration to the world.
The Brooklyn raised DJ graduated from Kingsborough Community College and started out doing local parties. After his name buzzed around in the streets, Puff Daddy approached him and asked him to be The Notorious B.I.G official road DJ. Till this day, Enuff considers that time in his life one of the most memorable moments of his career.
He got his start on the radio filling in for the legendary DJ Red Alert on 98.7 KISS FM until he earned his own slot. On August 24 1998, DJ Enuff was hired at Hot 97. He was on the “8 a.m. Traffic Jam,” “The Ed Lover Morning Show,” “The Star and Buckwild Morning Show,” and the legendary “Angie Martinez Show.” DJ Enuff had his own show for about two years called, “The Midnight Run.”
The Heavy Hitter DJ Enuff also made his way to television back in 2014 for “This Is Hot 97,” a reality show that was on vH1. In addition, he also got involved with BET’s 106 n’ park freestyle Friday’s when Free and AJ were hosts. The mix-master, DJ Enuff also appeared on the BET awards, the Biggie film, Notorious, Dr. Oz, and many more.
Not only is DJ Enuff a staple in the hip hop community, he IS hip hop and I will forever pay homage to you, the great, the legend, the best. Okay #ThatsEnuff :).
I wish you many more years at Hot 97.
