Walker has been charged with five counts of vehicular homicide, reckless endangerment and reckless driving. According to several news reports, the reckless driver had another school bus accident two months ago and luckily it wasn’t fatal.
According to the arrest affidavit reported on CNN, “Mr. Walker lost control of the bus and swerved off of the roadway to the right, striking an elevated driveway and mailbox, swerved to the left and began to overturn, striking a telephone pole and a tree.”
In the article, police investigator Sgt. Austin Garrett said that Walker tested negative for drugs or alcohol so the reason for the crash is unclear until the investigation unfolds.
