Jermaine Dupri, the music genius thats been in the industry for over 25 years accepted his induction into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame on June 14. He is the hitmaker behind big artist like Mariah Carey, Xscape, TLC, and Usher. Mariah Carey and Usher honored Jermaine for his special night.

Reported on NPR, “According to Dupri, the key to writing a hit song is to focus on the hook as the driving force. That’s what he did when penning his first big record, Kriss Kross’s 1992 breakout single “Jump.” Dupri says he wrote the song in 30 minutes.”
