In Red Table Talk history, the host said she is bringing herself to the table…..
The aftermath of August Alsina revealing his alleged affair with Jada Pinkett caused her to announce that she’d address the matter on her show.
She sat down with her life partner Will to discuss the situation. Jada says about four and a half years ago, she met August through her and Will’s son, Jaden. At the time, Jada and her family wanted to help August because he was “really sick.” August was battling an auto-immune disease, in which he’s been vocal and public about.
“It all started with him just needing some help. Me wanting to help his health, his mental state,” Jada said.
At the time, Jada and Will were separated and were figuring out the next steps in their relationship. This is when Jada and August took their relationship to the next level. Jada claims she got into an “entanglement with August,” then she confirmed the relationship.
“An entanglement? A relationship,” Will said in a puzzled way. Jada replied,
“Yes, it was a relationship. Absolutely. I was in a lot of pain. I was very broken. Now, in the process of that relationship, I definitely realize that you can’t find happiness outside of yourself. … I would definitely say we did everything that we could to get away from each other, only to realize that that wasn’t possible.”
Jada also says she learned a lot about herself during her time with August. Jada says that August is the one who called it off with her.
“Through that particular journey, I learned so much about myself and was able to really confront a lot of emotional immaturities, emotional insecurity and I was really able to do some really deep healing,” Pinkett Smith said. “And as I came through and started to realize certain things about you and I, he decided to break all communication with me which was totally understandable. And I let that be and hadn’t talked to him since so it is a little weird that all this stuff is coming out now since this was several [years ago].”

Take a look at what online users had to say……
Once the news broke, the Internet had some interesting things to say, take a look:
Back in 2019, during an interview, Jada revealed that she told Will upfront that she wasn’t cut out for a conventional marriage.
“I knew that I was not built for conventional marriage,” she said. “Even the word ‘wife’: it’s a golden cage, swallow the key. Even before I was married, I was like, ‘That’ll kill me.’ And it damn near did! So why wouldn’t you share what you’ve been through, when you see that other people are out there, trying to figure this crap out? We decided to make it public because it’s part of the healing. I feel like if we don’t have real understanding about it, I don’t know if interpersonal relationships are possible.”
