Cardi B. Aspires To Have Billionaire Status Like Jay-Z & Rihanna

Cardi B. has always said she doesn’t really “lookup” to anyone. Until now!

During an interview on Stationhead radio, Cardi said she wants to be in the same category as Jay-Z and Rihanna. When she first arrived on the music scene, she didn’t have many idols because the industry was new to her. Now the “Up” singer has inspirations to reach financial statuses like Hov and Bad gal Riri! Cardi said,

“When I came to the game and people used to be like, ‘Who do you look up to?’ I always used to say, ‘I don’t look up to nobody,’ because I didn’t really understand the game, and I only feel like I got influenced by the people that was around me.” Cardi went on to say how much Jay and Ri inspires her.

“But now that I’m at the level that I’m at, one of my biggest influences is Rihanna and JAY-Z. And I’m not just saying it to kiss a** or anything. I just feel like they’re so influential because Rihanna comes from a country, a Caribbean country, that my parents came from, and she’s a whole billionaire.” She continued,

“But for her to make her business so big and be a billionaire, that’s what I strive to be. That’s what I want. I want to be a billion-dollar woman. I want to build a huge brand.” Cardi went on to talk about why she looks up to Jay-Z.

“He’s from the hood just like me. He’s from the hood and this man’s a whole billionaire. And that’s just all about strategy, and that’s just all about shaking hands, that’s just all about putting plans together.”

Jay-Z has been coined as hip hop’s first billionaire. His net worth went up to $1.4 billion after selling half of his Ace Of Spades brand to LVMH. He also sold the majority stake of TIDAL to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey for $297 million.

It was also reported that Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty lingerie line is worth more than $1 billion. Rihanna’s Savage Fenty helped her become the world’s richest musician. She’s also the first female black billionaire to run a beauty empire.

If Cardi stays her course, she can attain elite status. Cardi made history this year as the first and only female rapper to have diamond certification for her 2017 banner “Bodak Yellow.” With the right “money moves,” we’ll be calling Cardi billionaire Bardi!
