A tragedy struck a Colorado grocery store.
A gunman opened fire and killed ten people, including a police officer. CNN reports a suspect is in custody. Boulder Police Chief Maris Herold said authorities did not share any information on his identity, the type of weapon used, or any possible motive.

The shooting took place around 3 p.m, and a witness, Dean Schiller, recalls the events the led up to the shooting. Schiller said to reporters that he was heading to the store when he heard the gunshots. He recalled seeing three people who appeared to be injured.
Jared Polis, the governor of Colorado, called the shooting an “unspeakable event,” and he also commended the first responders who appeared on the scene to help everyone.
